Hi, I'm Anita Glaze
I absolutely love our public schools, and I love to network with and help other educators!
I graduated from Anderson University, Anderson IN, with a social studies and English teaching degree, followed by a masters in administration from Indiana University. I’ve taught middle school social studies and English at Norwell and Blackford, and I have served as a building level administrator at Yorktown, Eastbrook, and Union, earning a district principal of the year award at Eastbrook Junior High School. I hold a professional administrative license as well as professional teaching license in 5-12 social studies and English. Currently, I serve as the Data, Assessment, and Pathways Coach at Anderson High School, making this my 27th year in public education in Indiana. I still love school!
I am passionate about delivering the best educational experience to our kids, and to do that, I love helping colleagues create engaging lesson plans, design curriculum, integrate technology, and implement data into the educational process. Simply, I love to help peers problem-solve great solutions for the classroom. To keep myself in the trenches, I have also taught English 12 and dual credit US History virtually this year, in addition to my day job.
Finally, and most importantly, my family consumes my life, and I love it. Married to Ryan (Tipton Superintendent) for twenty years, Ryan and I enjoy every moment with our three teenaged boys, Gavin (18), a freshman at Ball State, Gabe (16), a junior at Hamilton Southeastern, and Garrett (13), an 8th grader at Hamilton Southeastern Junior High. You will find us following Garrett on the cross country course (Ryan and I are much slower, of course), watching Gabe march with the Royal Command and Guard marching band at HSE, or going to Ball State football games to enjoy Gavin in the Pride of Mid-America marching band. When we relax, we love to camp with our boys and favorite Sheltie, Luke Skywalker Glaze, along with extended friends and family.
