Equipping Students to Stop Bullies
Standard For Success and The BullyBox partner to give bullied students a voice
Standard For Success has joined forces with The BullyBox to empower students affected by bullying. The BullyBox provides a forum that allows students—whether victims or witnesses—to anonymously report acts of bullying in a safe and effective manner.
Nearly three out of four students have witnessed bullying in their schools, but only 20-30 percent of bullied students ever tell an adult, according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Whether verbal, physical, social or online, persistent bullying triggers feelings of isolation, despair and anxiety, sometimes leading to suicide.
The BullyBox is designed to counter that trend, equipping students to report bullying behavior through the tools they already use most: iPhone and Android smartphones, any web-connected tablet or computer. In addition to reports, students can also supply photographic or video evidence of the incident.
As Seen in the News
The BullyBox, already available to nearly 100,000 students in 20 states and four countries, is quickly gaining traction as a viable and discreet method to combat bullying in schools. As seen in multiple national publications, we are excited to endorse an educational company and product that was created by a high school student.
