Hi, I'm Cheri Hume.
I graduated from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, Indiana with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education. I later earned a Master of Science in Educational Leadership and Supervision from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana and a Concentration in Digital Teaching and Learning from American College of Education in Indianapolis, Indiana.
I am currently employed in a rural school district as the district technology integration specialist and the virtual learning coordinator. Prior to my current position, I taught middle school and high school social studies, served as the assistant athletic director, and coached cheerleading and basketball.
I come from a long line of educators. Most of my immediate and extended family is in the education sector. Educators are some of the hardest working people I know. In my current role, I feel honored to be able to serve and assist educators at all levels as they grow professionally. It is a good feeling to see them succeed and excel in their profession.
I married my high school sweetheart and have two sons, two daughters-in-law and four grandchildren (three boys and a girl) and a miniature schnauzer named Louie. Any spare time I have I sneak away to visit family and play with our grandchildren. I enjoy traveling and just being outdoors, walking the beach or hiking in the mountains. I also appreciate carefree movie nights in front of a fire and evenings out with friends.
