Hi, I'm Kimberly Douglass.
I graduated with a Bachelors of Arts and Sciences and a Masters of Public Administration from Tennessee State University. I graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a PhD in Political Science.
I became a full-time entrepreneur in July 2020. I coach neurodivergent PhDs and EdDs on the personal, social and technical aspects of career and entrepreneurship. In addition to moving clients from deficit-based to strengths-based thinking, I help them develop ebooks, online courses, workbooks, journals workshops and more that cover a range of topics.
Until 2020, I worked in higher education for over 17 years as staff, faculty and administration. I tenured in Information Sciences in 2016 at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK). My teaching and scholarship have developed at the intersection of information science and political behavior. I worked on program accreditations at UTK and Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU). I designed systems at MTSU and for NSF-funded DataONE.org, while at UTK.
I love helping educators consider ways to engage their students at deeper levels.
My Husband Dean and I have been married almost 15 years. We have one Son, Jackson. I enjoy making nonmetallic jewelry.
