Standard For Success and Endeavor Communications partner to bring resources to Cunot Community Center
Cloverdale, IN. Standard For Success (SFS) and Endeavor Communications partner to bring resources to Cunot Community Center. Cunot Community Center serves southern Putnam County, northern Owen County, and western Clay County in providing services including a food pantry, community access to education and life skills training, and recreational activities including Bingo and Pool Tournaments.
The Center’s directors, Claudia and Ran Dawson, have identified a need in the community for students to have access to homework help and educational resources after school hours. The center is also a point of access for community members needing to get online to complete job applications, search for employment, and complete job skill training. Standard For Success, which serves as a teacher evaluation and professional growth solution to Greencastle, North Putnam, South Putnam, Area 30 Career Center, Old National Trail, and Owen Valley school corporations, is donating two Chrome books to the Center. These will allow students access to online resources with a subject expert via interactive free video tutorials. Community members will be able to use the Chrome books to access job applications, public service resources, and search for employment.
Endeavor Communications will be ensuring the students and community have access to those resources online by upgrading the internet connection at the Center by providing a 1GB connection. “Endeavor Communications is proud to be part of this opportunity in supporting our local education initiatives and providing remarkably fast 1-gigabit high-speed internet services to the Cunot Community Center”, says Marci Hefley of Endeavor Communications.
Standard For Success CEO, Todd Whitlock states, “We are pleased to further the work the Cunot Community Center is doing to extend the learning environment beyond the school day. The access provided will help to close the digital divide and level the playing field for those families that do not have access to technology at home to complete homework.” Ran Dawson of CCC adds, “We are proud to be partnered with SFS & Endeavor to help promote added knowledge for the community”.
Standard For Success, corporate headquarters in Cloverdale, is a company built by educators. SFS provides employee evaluation management software and currently operates in 7 states, 850+ schools, and helps over 45,000 educators manage the evaluation process to drive professional growth.
