Teacher & Administrator Mentoring
In education, mentoring is a complex and multi-dimensional process of guiding, teaching, influencing and supporting a beginning, new, or struggling teacher or administrator.
It is generally accepted that a mentor leads, guides and advises teachers or administrators in a work situation characterized by mutual trust and belief.
Our mentors will facilitate and assist an educator’s development. The process includes modeling the messages and suggestions being taught to the teacher or administrator. SFS mentors will demonstrate a range of cognitive coaching competencies, such as posing carefully constructed questions to stimulate reflection, paraphrasing, probing, using wait-time, and collecting and using data to improve teaching and learning.
There is, of course, no single program design that meets the needs of every district in every situation. Whatever your unique needs are, we will tailor the program to meet your needs.
Let us help you design the perfect teacher mentoring program for your school.
