Each month, Standard For Success will feature a staff member from our team of former and current educators who have 20-30 years of experience apiece. Our team’s commitment to customer service is as foundational to Standard For Success as the software itself. Our clients know that when they have a question or an idea they want to explore, our team is easily accessible and always responsive.

This month, Standard For Success features Fay Nickel, SFS Client Engagement Specialist

“I grew up in northern Michigan (yes, the same northern Michigan made famous by Kid Rock).   Even though I’m pretty sure Kid Rock had more fun down by the lake

than I did, I am still proud to call Michigan my home and have many wonderful memories of my childhood here.  I enjoy softball in the summer and skiing in the winter.”.

In addition to  these varied hobbies for fun, Fay Nickel has had diverse work experiences. She has worked in the application software/computer technology environment for eight years. Receiving her MBA from DeVos Graduate School of Management at Northwood University in Midland, Michigan, Fay graduated with honors in one of the proudest moments of her life.

Fay has worked for corporate, medical and educational facilities and is knowledgeable in database administration and project management. Her strengths lie in computer technology and educational software. Before joining Standard For Success in 2018, Fay worked for STAGES Software. She has conducted short-term occupational training programs for Delta College, Corporate Services in Michigan. She also has extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite of products, and is certified in Inbound Marketing from HubSpot.

Customer Service

In her current role as a Client Engagement Specialist for Standard For Success, Fay’s goal is to delight clients with awesome customer service.  This is a natural fit for Standard For Success, who has received a Stevie Award for the past two years for outstanding customer service. Fay has created training videos and documentation for software products using Camtasia and Vimeo, and is comfortable conducting training sessions on-site or via video conferencing.

In addition to providing outstanding customer service, volunteering has always been important to Fay, as well as giving back to her community.  In the past, she served 7 years on the local American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) board, where she held various positions, including Regional Commissioner, Treasurer, Registrar, Coach Instructor, Coach and Referee.
