Standard For Success Staff Feature

Each month, we will feature a staff member from our team of former and current educators who have 20-30 years of experience apiece. Our team’s commitment to customer service is as foundational to Standard For Success as the software itself. Our clients know that when they have a question or an idea they want to explore, our team is easily accessible and always responsive.

This month, SFS features Todd Whitlock

Todd is a co-founder of Standard For Success and serves as their Chief Executive Officer, managing the daily operations of SFS.  He received an undergraduate degree in business education from Ball State University and an MS degree in educational administration from Oakland City University.

Todd spent 20 years in public education. He served as a classroom business and accounting teacher, coach, and district administrator overseeing technology, curriculum, testing, and early college programs before co-founding Standard for Success in 2011. In addition, he served on the HECC (Hoosier Educational Computer Coordinators) board and organized their annual conference for several years. As a result of his leadership in tech education, Todd’s colleagues were approaching him with concerns about managing upcoming teacher evaluation mandates.  In order to assist in meeting those needs, Todd reached out to Alan Degener, SFS’s lead programmer, Robbie Grimes, and Michelle Allee, also trailblazers in tech education, and the four designed Standard For Success.

Todd received recognition as the TechPoint 2012 Bridge Builder Award Recipient,  winning for contributions to K-12 education and was named as a National School Board Association’s “20 to Watch” school leader. Under Todd’s leadership, Standard For Success has received a Stevie Award for outstanding customer service for the past two years.

Todd lives in Cloverdale, Indiana with his wife, Dianna.  When he isn’t spending time with his three children and one grandchild, he likes to be on the golf course.
