Hello, I am Todd Whitlock, CEO and Co-Founder of Standard For Success. It has been a year since the education world was turned upside down. As we were presenting thought leadership sessions and meeting with school leaders they were discussing closing and scrambling to put resources and procedures in place to get through the end of the year.
Through all this, Standard For Success has worked with birth to higher education institutions to provide and develop resources, procedures, and tools to promote student success. We have not been sitting back and watching the world pass us by. Thank you for being part of our national and international SFS family of schools and all you do each and every day. We will continue to focus on products and customer support that help you develop Better Teachers, Better Students, and a Better World.
We have listened to your needs and made our Evaluation product more robust by adding access to additional frameworks like the Danielson Group’s well-known and highly utilized products that include The Framework for Teacher Evaluation Instrument, The Framework Clusters, and The Framework for <Remote> Teaching. Millions of educators worldwide have used the Framework for Teaching since it was first published by Charlotte Danielson in 1996. We also added McREL’s CUES teacher evaluation framework, which is based on the proven instructional strategies in Classroom Instruction That Works (2nd ed.) and promotes teacher growth as well as their BL Principal, Central Office, and Superintendent Evaluation frameworks focus on effective leadership to drive student success.
And earlier in the year we partnered with the University of Washington Center for Educational Leadership to offer CEL’s in-demand 5D+™ instructional rubric as one of Standard for Success’s frameworks to go along with the many others like Thoughtful Classroom, RISE, and many more and within our solution. We continue to add features, reports, and deliver the award-winning customer service you all deserve and expect.
We have expanded and adapted our Graduation Pathways tracking tool to help guidance counselors provide support to students regardless if they are in the school or working from their home.
We also have continued to research and develop new offerings aligned to our mission to help develop better teachers, better students, and a better world. During the pandemic we have rolled out Accreditation, a tool to help colleges and universities track data for accreditation even when they are not in the office. More importantly, it allows the supervisors and students to have transparent two-way dialog so future teachers and administrators will be successful when they fill those roles that we so desperately need.
SFS has partnered with AASA, The School Superintendents Association, to bring Analysis – research based program assessments and certifications to schools. The Early Learning Program Assessment Tool© and STEM program assessment tool and certifications both allow an organization to benchmark their programs against research based best-practices and go beyond compliance.
In partnership with Jason Learning we have brought their award-winning STEM curriculum to schools and community partners to help address the equity issue so all teachers and students have access to quality STEM programming.
Most recently we have partnered with SERRC, Alaska’s Educational Resource Center, to exclusively offer SERRC’s cultural standards framework to P-12 schools and districts. The demand is high nationally for tools that provide teacher training and measurement tools around cultural standards. This data-driven solution has been in place for more than a decade, and culturally responsive classrooms can help graduation rates, as has been demonstrated.
As we develop and work with organizations such as AASA, Jason Learning, The Danielson Group, McREL, UW, Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence, and Silver Strong we will continue to push the envelope on innovation to be your education solution provider to accelerate student learning and success.
